India vs England 2nd ODI Live Score: KL Rahul ton, Rishabh Pant blitz take India to 336/6
India set 337-run target for England!
A sparkling century from KL Rahul marked his return to form as his 108 guided India to 336 for 6 against England in second ODI in Pune. Eying for the unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, India batsmen, especially the middle order, managed a perfect outing to put up a formidable total on the board. Alongside Rahul, Rishabh Pant's 40-ball 77 blitz helped India cross the 300-run mark for the second time in the series. After skipper Virat Kohli's bad luck with the toss continued and England once again invited India to bat first, the hosts this time got off to a poor start, losing both the openers Shikhar Dhawan (4) and Rohit Sharma (25) inside the Powerplay. But then a 121-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Kohli and Rahul steadied India in the middle overs. Kohli in the process, got to his 62nd fifty to complete 10,000 runs batting at No.3 but yet again missed out on a ton, falling at 66 to Adil Rashid. Rahul and Pant then added 113 runs off just 80 balls to boost up the scoring rate. Rahul eventually fell to Tom Curran in the 45th over but then Hardik alongside Pant managed another 37-run partnership off just 13 balls to take India over 300-run mark. Hardik pulled off a 16-ball 35 cameo to help India finish at 336. For England, Tom Curran and Reece Topley managed a couple of wickets each while Sam Curran and Rashid bagged a wicket apiece.
